We're Different. Here's How.
Most outdoor programs offer unstructured play. We offer structured education. Real
skills. Real projects. Real learning that builds on itself week after week.
Structured Curriculum
5 Modules
Unlike drop-in nature programs, we follow a
progressive 14-week curriculum with clear learning
objectives and skill progression
Real education, not just outdoor play
STEM-Focused
Science-Based
We integrate biology, physics, engineering, and
environmental science into every activity. Students
learn the 'why' behind what they observe
Academic rigor meets outdoor adventure
Project-Based Learning
$50 Budget
Every module includes hands-on projects. The
semester culminates in an independent capstone
project with real materials and tools
Build something real, learn something lasting
Transparent
Communication
Weekly-Updates
Parents receive detailed weekly recaps with photos,
learning objectives, and what's coming next. No
mystery about what we're doing
You'll always know what your child is learning
TrailBreak vs. Other Programs
We're not reinventing outdoor education — we're making it more intentional, more
educational, and more transparent

Why We Exist
Most outdoor programs for kids fall into two categories: unstructured free
play or expensive wilderness survival camps. We saw a gap — and we
filled it.
TrailBreak Journeys is different. We combine the best of Nordic
outdoor education with American STEM rigor. We give kids structured
learning objectives, hands-on projects, and clear skill progression — all
while they're outside, exploring, and having fun.
Parents know exactly what we're teaching. Kids know exactly what they're
building. And by the end of the semester, everyone can see tangible
growth — in confidence, in knowledge, and in the projects they create.
This is outdoor education that actually educates.

"Not just playing outside. Actually learning outside."
Lucas Stuart
Our story began around the campfire, observing how children thrive when given trust, tools, and the wild. We craft each session around community, exploration, and measurable progress.
