Why Consistency Matters

Progressive skill development requires regular attendance. By showing up the same day every week, your child

builds on previous lessons, develops mastery, and forms lasting connections with peers and instructors.

Program Policies & Terms

Please review our policies before enrolling

1. Attendance & Absences: Please notify TrailBreak staff by text or email if your child will be absent or late. Missed days cannot be refunded or credited, as tuition

reserves your child's space for the semester. If your child is sick, we ask that they stay home to rest and recover before returning.

2. Weather & Class Cancellations: TrailBreak operates in all safe weather conditions — rain, snow, and shine — with proper gear. In the event of unsafe weather,

road closures, or emergency conditions, TrailBreak may cancel or delay class. One make-up day is built into the semester. If more than one class is

canceled by TrailBreak, a prorated refund or credit will be issued (your choice). Parents will be notified by text or email at least one hour before class.

3. Drop-off & Pick-up: Drop-off begins no earlier than 10 minutes before class, and pick-up is expected within 10 minutes after class ends. A late-pickup fee of $10

per 10 minutes may apply. Only authorized adults listed in your child's file may pick them up.

4. Tuition & Payment: Tuition can be paid weekly or in full for the semester. Payment is due by the first class of each month (or before the semester begins for full-

semester payment). Automatic payments are recommended. Overdue tuition (15+ days late) may result in suspension of enrollment until payment is received. Tuition

covers all materials and instruction. Refunds are not issued for absences or weather if class is still held and it is within our make-up allowance.

5. Safety & Risk: All instructors hold Wilderness First Aid or CPR certification. Staff carry first-aid kits and communication devices at all times. TrailBreak follows strict

safety protocols for hiking, tool use, water play, and wildlife awareness. Children are taught to assess and navigate real-world risks safely. Parents will be informed of

any incidents via written report or same-day communication.

6. Behavior & Conduct: TrailBreak promotes kindness, cooperation, and respect for others and nature. Physical or verbal aggression, bullying, or repeated unsafe

behavior may lead to removal from the program without refund. We use positive guidance and natural consequences before any escalation.

7. Visitors & Volunteers: For safety and insurance reasons, visitors are not permitted during class time unless authorized in advance. All TrailBreak instructors and

staff complete background checks.

8. Health & Illness: Children should be fever-free and symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning to class. Please report any communicable illnesses to

TrailBreak so we can inform families when necessary.

9. Medical & Allergy Procedures: During enrollment, parents must complete a medical information form detailing allergies, medications, dietary restrictions, and

emergency contacts. If your child requires medication (e.g., EpiPen, inhaler), you must provide it in labeled, original packaging with clear administration instructions.

Staff are trained to recognize allergic reactions and will call 911 immediately if needed. For food allergies, please pack a safe lunch—we maintain a nut-aware (not

nut-free) environment.

10. Clothing & Gear: TrailBreak operates outdoors year-round — proper clothing is essential. Waterproof boots and layers are required in colder months. Each

student should bring: a comfortable backpack, a full water bottle, a lunch/snack, extra socks and clothing in a labeled bag. Please do not bring toys, electronics, or

valuables.

11. Refunds & Withdrawal: A two-week notice is required if you wish to withdraw from the program mid-semester. Refunds are prorated only for withdrawals due to

relocation or verified medical reasons. Registration fees (if applicable) are non-refundable.

12. Communication: All program updates, weather notices, and announcements will be shared via email and text. For time-sensitive updates (e.g., late arrival,

absence, pick-up change), contact your child's instructor directly. For all other questions or feedback, email info@trailbreakadventures.com.

13. Inclusivity & Accessibility: TrailBreak welcomes children of all backgrounds and learning differences. We work with families to accommodate reasonable needs,

provided it does not compromise group safety or supervision ratios.

By enrolling in TrailBreak Journeys, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these policies. TrailBreak reserves the right to update policies as needed. Families

will be notified of any changes in writing.

Common Questions

Quick answers to questions you might have

What ages can participate?

TrailBreak Journeys is designed for children ages 7-15. We use mixed-age grouping to encourage peer

learning and leadership development.

What happens in bad weather?

We meet rain or shine! We believe there's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing. We'll

provide guidance on proper outdoor gear.

What's the student-to-instructor ratio?

We maintain a maximum 10:1 student-to-instructor ratio to ensure safety and personalized attention.

Is there homework?

No homework! We believe learning happens during our time together. The only exception is the capstone

project, where students may choose to work outside of class time.

How do I enroll?

You can fill out our enrollment form, send us a message, or schedule a consultation call to discuss enrollment
