Environmental Science
Weeks 1-2
Explore ecosystems, biodiversity, and our role as stewards of the earth. Students identify plants, track wildlife, and study the interconnected
web of nature.
Project: Create a field guide or ecosystem map of your local area

STEM & Survival
Weeks 3-4
Learn primitive skills, fire-building, water purification, and shelter construction. Apply science and engineering principles to real survival
scenarios.
Project: Build a functional survival toolkit or emergency shelter model

Navigation & Mapping
Weeks 5-6
Master map reading, compass navigation, and orienteering. Learn to use the sun, stars, and natural landmarks to find your way.
Project: Design and execute a navigation course or treasure hunt

Personal Growth
Weeks 7-8
Develop leadership, teamwork, and resilience through group challenges and reflection. Build confidence through solo experiences in
nature.
Project: Complete a personal challenge and reflect on growth

Art in Nature
Weeks 9-10
Express creativity using natural materials. Learn land art, nature journaling, nature photography, and eco-printing techniques.
Project: Create an art installation or nature journal
A Typical Day
Every session follows a rhythm that balances structure with flexibility

Gather, share, and set intentions for the day

Module Learning
Hands-on instruction and exploration

Project Work
Apply skills to individual or group projects

Lunch & Free Play
Eat, rest, and connect with peers

Outdoor exploration and skill practice

Closing Circle
Reflect, share discoveries, and plan ahead
Capstone Project
The semester culminates in an independent project where students apply
everything they've learned

Up to $50 in materials per student provided

Week 14: Family field trip and project showcase

Students present their work to parents and peers
This final project gives students ownership over their learning and creates a tangible
showcase of their growth throughout the semester.

We rotate between carefully selected outdoor sites within a 20-minute radius, each
chosen for its unique learning opportunities
Weekly Location Updates: Exact meeting locations are emailed to enrolled families one week in advance, along with parking instructions and what to expect at that
site.
